Move from Google Forms to CohortOS
Updated 28 Sep · 2 min · Program teamUpdated · 2 min read · For Program team
Most teams arrive at CohortOS with a Google Form and a spreadsheet of responses. The quickest way to switch is to rebuild the form, start your next intake in CohortOS and keep the old sheet as an archive.
Steps
- List the questions on your current form. Remove any that nobody scores or uses.
- Rebuild the form under Applications → Manage Forms → New Form, choosing a matching field type for each question (see Build and publish an application form).
- Set up review stages for your program type so new applications have somewhere to go.
- Set the form to Active and Public, test it as an applicant, then replace the old Google Form link wherever you've shared it.
- Close the old Google Form so no new responses arrive there.
What about past responses?
CohortOS doesn't import Google Forms responses. Past intakes are usually already decided, so keep the old sheet view-only as an archive. For startups currently in your program, add them directly under Startups so their profiles, milestones and KPIs live in CohortOS from now on.
