Getting started
Create your first program and cohort
Updated 2 Oct · 2 min · Program teamUpdated · 2 min read · For Program team
In CohortOS a program is the long-running thing you operate, such as your seed accelerator or your women-founders fellowship. A cohort is one intake of startups inside it, with its own dates and capacity. Most teams create one program and add a new cohort for each intake.
Steps
- In the admin app, open Programs from the sidebar and choose New Program.
- Give the program a name and pick its type: Incubation, Acceleration, Bootcamp, Fellowship or Custom. The type decides which review stages applications move through.
- Choose Create Program. New programs start as a draft, so nothing is public yet.
- Open the program and choose + Add Cohort. Set the cohort's name, dates and capacity, then choose Create Cohort.
Program and cohort statuses
Programs move through Draft, Upcoming, Active, Completed and Archived. Cohorts move through Draft, Open for Applications, In Progress, Completed and Archived. Update the status as the cohort progresses, because dashboards and reports group your data by it.
